Hi, I'm Jessica!

As a new mom navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, I understand firsthand how important it is to find a balanced approach to health that works for you. I bring that understanding into my practice and enjoy listening with compassion to find solutions to simplify and enjoy food without guilt, obsession or restriction. With over a decade of experience as a dietitian, I specialize in women’s health, disordered eating, prenatal/postnatal nutrition, weight changes, heart health, and nutrition for mental health. I am passionate about supporting clients to nourish themselves in a way that makes them feel empowered in their choices, where they can push back on diet culture with confidence. My approach to nutrition is to support you in tuning into your body’s natural cues, fostering a compassionate mindset, and making choices that align with your unique needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

Initially it was the science behind nutrition that grabbed my attention, as I completed my BSc. in Nutrition and Dietetics at Western and then dietetic internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. I now find myself most curious about our relationship with food and the journey of how it developed. During my dietetic career, I have been lucky to work with people from all different backgrounds in a variety of environments. I’ve supported soon-to-be and new parents in public health, worked with adults in a community outpatient setting with chronic disease and weight management, and helped adolescents in a pediatric psychiatric hospital with disordered eating and body image challenges. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I completed my Masters of Public Health and moved to Vancouver, Rhode Island, Kingston, Cambridge, and now back to my hometown.

Since moving back to Northern Ontario, most days you can find me walking my dog Paisley (a border collie/Great Pyrenees mix for the dog lovers out there) in the beautiful outdoors. Although the sounds of nature are lovely, I’m usually listening to a podcast or audiobook while my little one is snoozing in the stroller. I’m very excited to join the Centred Nutrition Collective and connect with clients using an intuitive, joyful, and balanced approach to eating and health!
