My many experiences as a mom, a friend and as a pediatric dietitian has helped to shape my desire to support families in meeting their nutrition goals. As a busy mom of three boys, I understand the many barriers and challenges to feeding a family because I get challenged too. I strive to help families create a healthy foundation for feeding that supports our children to grow and become healthy adults with a healthy relationship with food. I really love being a part of our Centred Nutrition Collective team providing nutrition counselling in pediatrics and family nutrition.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Brescia University College and completed my accredited internship with the Northern Ontario Dietetic Internship Program (NODIP). My career started in homecare where I practiced for 10 years seeing both adults and then paediatrics in combination with running a paediatric private practice for 5 years. I have supported families with feeding their children from infancy to school-age, working through growth concerns, introducing solids, picky eating, expanding food variety, and more complex feeding concerns. While considering what we eat is important, I feel what is equally important is how we feed ourselves and our children. I look forward to supporting families in their feeding journeys wherever it may lead!
When time frees up on this crazy but fun parenting journey you can find me meal prepping the next batch of snacks, or trying to carve out some time for myself reading. You might even find me mountain biking on our local trials. As a family we love Friday night movie nights getting outdoors swimming, kayaking, fishing, or hiking. In the cooler months you can find us spending more time in the local hockey rinks.
